Hospitality as both vocation and inspiration
Antonia and María Plomer are the soul of Zafiro Hotels. Born and raised in Mallorca, both sisters grew up immersed in the world of hospitality. Their journey began with a twist of fate—before they turned ten, their father, a home builder, accidentally purchased a plot designated for a hotel. That serendipitous moment led to the creation of a hotel that would become the mirror in which they saw their future dreams and passion reflected.
Both born in Mallorca, Antonia pursued a degree in Law followed by a Master's in Tourism Business Management, while María studied Economics and completed an MBA specialising in tourism.
With a solid foundation in the hospitality industry, Antonia and María Plomer began working side by side 25 years ago and today share the role of CEO at Zafiro Hotels. In their daily responsibilities, María oversees the Support area, while Antonia leads the Business division.
Their journey has always been intertwined with tourism, a path where they’ve planted deep roots and continue to grow through experience and passion. Now, with their sights set on expansion to other destinations, the Plomer sisters remain committed to the core values that define Zafiro Hotels: equality, sustainability and a deep respect for quality tourism.
