Though their dedication often unfolds behind the scenes, this article is our way of giving them the spotlight they so richly deserve. In celebration of International Chef’s Day, we step inside our hotel kitchens to meet the people who make the Zafiro dining experience one of our brightest jewels.

Signature dining experiences 

 

Maria, Luis, Marcos, Ismael… the list of our culinary stars is long—and brimming with talent. From the chefs who lead our kitchen teams each day to every dedicated member of the dining room staff, creativity simmers in the restaurant departments of our hotels. And above all, every dish is seasoned with love. 

 

This spirit came to life during Zafiro Art Culinari, held at Zafiro Palace Andratx in celebration of International Chefs Day—an event dedicated to those who work tirelessly to make our cuisine a genuine culinary benchmark on the island.  

 

Chefs and kitchen assistants from across our hotels gathered for this special occasion, sharing an atmosphere rich in camaraderie, creativity and culinary passion. 

 

Each team presented three original, flavour-packed creations, aiming to impress a jury made up of their fellow chefs. While every proposal stood out for its ingenuity and flair, the day’s honours went to María Ávila Asensio, representing the Zafiro Boutique Collection, Ismael El Amarti Alou, from the Zafiro Can Picafort, and Marcos Temprano Parets, from the Zafiro Palace Andratx. 

 

 

Delicious dining for all 

 

That’s the essence of dining at our 4-star Zafiro Hotels—a culinary offering crafted to delight every palate, from seasoned foodies to our youngest guests. Each lunch and dinner at the Zafiro Hotels resorts becomes a journey of taste, letting you explore global flavours without ever leaving the island. From authentic Mediterranean tapas and paellas to delicious Italian classics, gourmet burgers and premium cuts of meat, our menus celebrate variety and quality. 

 

At the heart of it all is the Caprice Buffet Restaurant, with themed stations spotlighting local, healthy and globally inspired options. Our 4-star resorts in Mallorca and Menorca also feature poolside snack bars and signature restaurants—like the Mirablau at the Zafiro Bahia, with its stunning views of Playa de Muro, and the grilled delights of El Patio at the Zafiro Tropic.  

 

The latest additions to this fantastic collection of dining experiences is the Blackwell's Corner Restaurant, featuring a great menu inspired by American cuisine, and the Italian restaurant La Tavola, both at the Zafiro Can Picafort

 

Dining options have also been enriched at our adults-only Zafiro Alzinar Mar Hotel, with the Sage & Olive Restaurant, specialising in fresh Mediterranean cuisine, alongside the renovated Es Mercat Buffet Restaurant. 

 

 

From breakfast to dinner 

 

At our 4-star Zafiro resorts, the culinary experience is designed to be savoured from sunrise to sunset. Start the day with bountiful breakfasts, followed by tasty snacks, light poolside lunches and leisurely dinners made for sharing. 

 

At midday, the bistro-style menus shine with flavourful bites and relaxed charm. By evening, the spotlight turns to premium meats and fresh fish, showcasing the most iconic flavours of international cuisine.  

 

At the heart of it all is the Caprice Buffet Restaurant, where you’ll always find Mallorca’s finest local products—from artisan cheeses and cured sausages to traditional sweets. Add to that show-cooking stations and a curated selection of themed dishes, and every meal becomes a celebration of taste.

To savour the island’s most authentic flavours, we invite you to discover the cuisine at Son Sabater, the signature restaurant at our Zafiro Boutique Collection agrotourism hotel. In its kitchen, the Mallorcan chef Lluis Cardell has crafted a menu that serves as a heartfelt tribute to local ingredients, island heritage and contemporary culinary artistry.  

 

Here, tradition and contemporary technique blend with unexpected aromas, Kilometre Zero ingredients and hand-picked vegetables, fruit and aromatic herbs from the estate’s own garden.  

 

A true gateway to Mallorcan culture, set in an ancient country manor house that invites you to savour each bite slowly and rediscover the island from its roots.

From refined Italian dishes to traditional Mallorcan flavours, Mediterranean specialities, and the vibrant tastes of Asian, American and Nikkei fusion cuisine. The 8 different dining experiences at the Zafiro Palace Andratx transform this 5-star haven in Camp de Mar into a true paradise for foodie getaways: featuring five speciality restaurants, health-focused food and drink trucks, and vibrant bars where the joy of being on holiday is worth toasting. 

 

Our special recommendation: indulge in the signature cuisine of Mare Nostrum, where avant-garde techniques, layered textures, and innovative cooking methods elevate each dish into a ulinary masterpiece. Textured vegetables, oxtail bonbons, scallops with coral rock… all served in an elegant, dreamlike setting in the privileged enclave of Camp de Mar, with sweeping views of the Tramuntana Mountains.
