The competition known worldwide as the HALF IRONMAN is without a doubt one of the most demanding test of strength and endurance. This competition consists of 3 disciplines: swimming, cycling and running. To be precise 1.9 kilometres of swimming, 90 kilometres of cycling and a 21.1 kilometre run. All sections that form the route of IRONMAN 70.3 must be completed in a maximum time of 8 hours.  Last year´s time for the Mallorca IRONMAN 70.3 was 03:56:49. Do you dare to beat the Mallorca IRONMAN 70.3 record? The World Championship take place in a different country each year; 2018 championships will be held at Nelson Mandela Bay in South Africa. Other editions and qualifying sessions are held in other countries such as Australia, Brazil, Chiles, USA, Spain, France, Canada, New Zealand and Panama. Each competition is regulated by the organizers, the World Triathlon Corporation.

The cycle route will go through the majestic mountains of the north of the island and finally the run which is flat route of two and half laps on the beautiful beach of Alcúdia where the finish line will be located. IRONMAN 70.3 2018 in Alcudia

The IRONMAN 70.3 2018 will be held as in previous years in the north of the island. The swimmers leave from the beach at Port d´ Alcúdia. After the 1.9km swim they then have to get on their bikes to ride 90km through the mountains of the north of the island returning to Port d´Alcudia. Their first destination is the town of Artá, passing by Coll den Morell, continuing through the towns of Petra, Santa Margalida and Sa Pobla to set off for Pollença and the big challenge of the ride the Coll de Femenia, which once surpassed they will descent down to Caimari, Muro finally reaching Alcudia. The run is a flat two and a half laps along the beautiful beach of Alcudia where the athletes can celebrate at the finish line, which is only 50 meters from the swimming circuit, directly on the beach of Alcudia.
