IRONMAN 70.3 Mallorca returns to Alcudia next May 11, 2019. Considered the biggest IRONMAN 70.3 in the world and one of its most challenging triathlons, the event attracts some of the finest international athletes to the island and also offers 50 qualifying places for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships 2019 to be held in September in Nice.

A real IRONMAN route

The race will begin on the fantastic beach of Alcudia with a swim through the calm and warm waters of Alcudia Bay.

A rolling start format will begin with a two kilometre swim followed by athletes getting on their bikes and heading out on a route that will take them through the ups and downs in the spectacular Serra de Tramuntana mountains followed by the descent and a tour through the villages in the interior of the island.

Finally, the half marathon will take runners over a flat course alongside the shores of Alcudia beach.

Although the event will be held on Saturday, May 11, the programme for one of the most important sports events of the year includes activities from Thursday to Sunday as well as technical meetings with participants. On Friday, there will be a huge party on the beach with partners, family and friends, and on Sunday the event will end with the awards ceremony and allocation of slots for the World Championships.
