Once again, this year we welcome one of the toughest sports events in Mallorca. Ironman 70.3 Mallorca takes place on May 12, based in Puerto de Alcudia but also passing through Sa Pobla, Muro and Inca.
Ironman consists of 3 different events. It starts with a 1.9km swim in Alcudia beach and continues with a 90km bike ride taking athletes through the most beautiful mountain scenery in Mallorca, with challenging ups and downs combined with flat stretches. The event ends with a half marathon around Alcudia, with two and a half laps around a flat course that ends next to the splendid beach.
Ironman 70.3 Mallorca starts at 7:55am on Saturday and ends at 5pm. Although the event only lasts one day, preparations begin on Thursday: registration, bike rental, warm-ups and recommendations, along with other leisure activities such as an exhibition and official store, a technical meeting for beginners, IRONKIDS for the little ones and a welcome party.
If you are taking part and looking for somewhere to stay ... no worries! Two of our hotels are just a few metres from where the event will take place in Alcudia: Zafiro Palace Alcudia and Zafiro Tropic, the latter being the official hotel for the race. Both hotels are the ideal accommodation for the days before and after the event, providing high-quality services and outstanding comfort, as well as the chance to train for the different events without travelling too far. The facilities include a semi-Olympic pool, a bike station, a fitness room, Spa and massage room, as well as spacious guestrooms that inspire relaxation and special food services for athletes so you can enjoy your Zafiro Triathlon experience to the full.
