Mallorca & Menorca Guide

With pleasant winters and a hot and dry summer with pleasant nights, makes Capdepera a town to visit all year round.

Capdepera like the rest of the Balearic Islands has a Mediterranean climate which means that the temperatures remain warm throughout the year.

Throughout the region of Capdepera the temperatures are hot and sunny in the Summer and the Winters are mild with moderately low temperatures, making this area a perfect holiday destination both in the winter and in summer. The Winters are a pleasant but slightly cooler at night with the temperatures rarely falling below 10ºc. If you visit Capdepera in January you will be able to take part in one of the most traditional and oldest festivals in Mallorca which celebrates Sant Antoni Abat, the patron saint of animals, it begins on the morning of the 16th culminating with the lightening of the bonfires of Sant Antoni on the 17th January.

In Capdepera you will the see the demons and devils come out and run through crowds, it is a very lively, colourful and spectacular sight to see. In autumn and spring, the temperatures are quite warm with an average of 20°C at this time of the year, the sun is warm during the daylight hours however when the sun sets the temperatures drop considerably. The mild climate in Capdepera in autumn and spring means that apart from the odd cold day you can enjoy sunny days even some of them spent on the beach and the days are perfect for exploring the wonderful countryside in Capdepera plus it is great for outdoor sports such as golf and hiking.

The summers in Capdepera are hot and the average temperature in summer is around 30ºC

With maximum temperatures of 40ºC. During the night temperatures fall slightly thanks to the thermoregulatory effect of the Mediterranean Sea making the nights much more refreshing. The summers stretch into September and October as the temperature remain warm the average temperature for these months is 20ºC which allows tourists who visit Capdepera to continue to enjoy beach days and water sports. It is thanks to this wonderful warm climate that the municipality of Capdepera receives hundreds of tourists each summer who come to enjoy its beaches and the endless stream of sunny days. In the summer, you can enjoy walks along the shore, refreshing swims in the sea and for those who prefer pools, a cooling dip in the hotel pool. In addition, it is the perfect time to enjoy  water sports and water activities with family or friends. We would recommend here at  Zafiro Hotels renting a boat to explore the wonderful coves hidden along the Capdepera coastline.

Located at the eastern end of the island, the municipality of Capdepera has several secret coves so if you are planning a trip to Capdepera, or anywhere on Mallorca whether with family, as a couple or with friends, make sure you don’t miss the idyllic coves of the region such as Cala Rajada, Cala Mesquida, Canyamel and Font de Sa Cala. At  Zafiro Hotels we recommend our Zafiro Cala Mesquida,  which is only from only 400 meters from the beautiful  beach of Cala Mesquida for your holiday in Capdepera. Due to the absence of air pollution, one of the peculiarities of Capdepera is purity of the light and the air.

Capdepera has a pure environment, pure nature, pure sun, pure beach and pure waters, what more could you ask for?
