In July and August Alcudia is pure happiness due to the different celebrations all over the town.
What is a must…
Via Fora: dramatized guided tours that take place in the historic center of the town
In July and August drama takes over the streets to recreate its history through scenes unfold around the popular Walls of Alcudia and other emblematic places of the town.
The different scenes bring locals and visitors to the culture of Alcudia showing different episodes lived by the inhabitants of the town in the past.
A great experience to be closer to the history of the town and walk through its beautiful historic center.
Fiestas de San Jaime, patron saint of Alcudia
July 25th is the day of the patron, however the different activities are extended during a week in which several events are organized: concerts, religious celebrations, exhibitions, theater, festivals...
Both locals and visitors enjoy a lot through the streets of Alcudia.
Don’t miss the delicious gastronomy.
Flamenco show in the Bull Ring
On Tuesdays, when you go to Alcudia’s market, you can also go to the Bull Ring and enjoy a flamenco show with the best singers, dancers and guitarists of the island.
And if you prefer, you can also attend the night galas that are organized on Sundays in July and August.
Enjoy flamenco!
Apart from these activities, you can enjoy the Sun and the sea of Alcudia’s amazing beaches.
Which we recommend?
All of them!
We would like to talk about each one, but now we will describe a few of them.
Playa de Alcudia, white sand and cristal waters, it’s one of the best on the island.
Family friendly thanks to its services and facilities, especially the children’s area and the water sports equipment.
Playa de Alcanada, perfect to walk, swim and relax.
Due to its short distance you can reach the Isla de Alcanada on foot or by swimming, which is located just in front.
It’s perfect for golf lovers as it holds one of the best golf courses on the island.
Coll Baix, just 8 km from Alcudia.
From the parking we have to descend for about 20 minutes on a path that takes us to this rocky cove which hiking lovers can reach by following an easy route.
Cap de Bou, located just 2,5 km from Alcudia.
It is a narrow sandy beach that is easily reached by bike, so cycling lovers can make a stop to rest and enjoy the sun and the sea.
There are many beaches in Alcudia and very close to our town, who doesn’t know Cala Punset, near Alcanada, or Playa de Muro, with its famous platform. Come and enjoy all of them!
