Some things take a little time, and five years after the last event in 2016, Puerto de Alcudia will be hosting an IRONMAN® long-distance triathlon - IRONMAN Mallorca next October, 16th 2021.

Mallorca, IRONMAN destination

The event will take place one week after Zafiro IRONMAN 70.3 Alcudia-Mallorca, scheduled for October 10, 2021. The race will bring the total number of IRONMAN events held in Europe to 18, and will be the first race of the season on the IRONMAN long-distance race circuit in Europe.

"The event will give athletes an excellent chance to compete at the start of the season in what is arguably one of the best IRONMAN locations in the world”.

Full distance: 226km triathlon

IRONMAN Mallorca will start with a 3.8 km swim in the stunning Alcudia Bay. The athletes will then set out on a spectacular 180 km bike ride that will take them from Port de Pollença through the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains, and from there to the east of the island before returning to T2 in Puerto de Alcudia. This is a very tough ride, but absolutely unforgettable thanks to its beautiful scenery.

A 42.2 km four-lap run will take the athletes around Alcudia Bay before reaching the finishing line on the beach and hearing the long-awaited “You are an IRONMAN”.
