Palmanova

Gastronomy

You will be able to taste any iconic Majorcan dish in the restaurants, gourmet shops, bars and cafes of Palmanova, and the high influx of tourists has also made it possible to enjoy international cuisine to adapt to all palates.

Some of the specialties you should try in Palmanova include pa amb oli, toasted bread with oil, tomato and salt accompanied by cheese, cured meat or grilled meat; fish stews, either in a clay pot, with rice, baked or pickled; and Majorcan snails.

For dessert, aside from the ensaimada, a typical warm coil-shaped cake, Majorca offers pastry specialties such as the coca de cuarto (a light sponge cake) or the buñuelos (sweet fritters). To drink, we recommend wines of Binissalem or Pla de Llevant.
