Once again this year, Zafiro Hotels has raised 25,000 euros, which will be donated in full to the "Hoteles de Narices" project.
Zafiro Hotels once again provides support to help improve the lives of children in hospital in the Balearic Islands
We’ve done it again for yet another year! Thanks to the generosity of our guests and employees, Zafiro Hotels has raised €25,000 which will be donated in full to the “Hoteles de Narices” project led by the Mallorca Hotel Federation (FEHM) and the NGO Sonrisa Médica. The project aims to help improve the lives of children in hospital in the Balearic Islands through the very effective medicines known as laughter and hope.
Dedicated to the cause
Our company has worked closely with Sonrisa Médica for a number of years to raise funds for the cause. “Thanks to the help of all our departments and guests, particularly the hotel entertainment teams, we managed to raise 25.000 euros this year through things like workshops, bingo sessions, raffles and photos with our mascot Izzy”, explained Marc Balaguer, Deputy Director of Operations at Zafiro Hotels.
A total of 65.000 euros raised
Thanks to support from the hotel industry, this year a record amount of 65,000 euros was raised in total, 12,000 euros more than in 2022, which will be donated in full to public health facilities in the Balearic Islands. “We’ll schedule a series of clown performances in the public hospitals in Ibiza and Menorca, and also increase the weekly visits in the hospitals where the programme is already running. In addition, we will also inaugurate a new health, art, music and psychology training programme,” announced the FEHM and the NGO Sonrisa Médica.
