Hotel in Muro
The municipality of Muro is in the north of Mallorca, facing Alcudia Bay. This is a town with a great history and in fact it was the Arabs that gave it its name. The greatest data in its history comes from the reconquest of Mallorca in 1229, when Muro was divided up among several feudal lords. There is testimony of major repression of the peasants by the conquerors, and the inhabitants also had to defend the coast against pirates that often attacked the island after landing at Alcudia Bay.

Muro is an ideal town for enjoying the peace and quiet, buying local products in its numerous shops, or savouring a glass of local wine in one of its laid-back cafes.
We must not fail to mention S'Albufera, the largest wetland area on the island, largely located in the region of Muro, and fundamental throughout its history thanks mainly to its ecological wealth. S'Albufera is an extensive area flooded by fresh water but next to the sea. It is fed in large part by rainwater, but also by the upwelling of underground water known as "ullals".Sea water inlets in summer do not add significant amounts of water, but do affect the flora and fauna, forming a surprising natural area of major importance for the local ecosystem.
