Tourist tax
This is to inform our guests of the forthcoming entry into force of the Tourist Tax, passed by the Balearic Government, which will be charged as of 1st July 2016. It is payable by those persons staying in regulated accommodation establishments, including residents of the Balearic Islands. It will consist of a payment of between 1 and 2 euros per day (plus 10% VAT), depending on the establishment category, by guests aged 16 and over.
-5-star and 4-star superior hotels: 4€ / per day / per person over 16 (+10% VAT).
- 4-star and 3-star superior hotels: 3€ / per day / per person over 16 (+10% VAT).
A discount of 75% will apply to the tax rate for stays during the low season (between 1st November and 30th April, both dates included) as well as on the tax rate for stays of more than 8 nights. This discount shall be applied from the ninth night onwards. Both discounts can be accumulated.As a result, and as we are required to pay this tax to the Balearic Island Tax Authorities, you are hereby informed that pursuant to the legislation in effect, we will ask you to settle payment of the tax prior to the end of your stay.
Revenue from this tax will be used to create a fund for the promotion of sustainable tourism. The objective is to finance projects that will contribute to boosting sustainable, responsible and quality tourism.
