This is who we are
At Zafiro we bring together two generations of Mediterranean family hospitality experience and tailor it specifically for each of our guests. Inspired by the breathtaking beauty of Mallorca and Menorca, the talented and dedicated people who look after our 14 luxury hotels and resorts promise to make your dream holiday a reality.
The origin
Zafiro was founded on the vision of Bartomeu Plomer and his family. His passion for architecture and the design of large spaces was reflected in his first aparthotels in Mallorca.
A qualitative leap
New markets open up and the focus is on exceptional customer service. Maria and Antonia Plomer join the business to take the company to new heights.
Commitment to excellence
Growth in the Caribbean leads to the creation of Vanity Hotels in 2006, an exclusive adults-only brand in Mallorca. Products are enhanced with a focus on exclusivity.
Zafiro's first hotel
Our first 5-star hotel opens: Zafiro Palace Alcudia Inspired by Caribbean resorts and the vision of Bartomeu Plomer: large spaces and superior-quality service.
A new horizon
The Zafiro brand takes shape. Resorts begin to specialise. Zafiro Palace Palmanova opens, and the Zafiro Palace Collection (5 stars) and Zafiro Hotels (4 stars) are created.
Zafiro's brightest jewel
The Plomer sisters design the Zafiro Hotels flagship hotel: Zafiro Palace Andratx. A luxury resort in the prestigious area of Camp de Mar with 5-star services.
A new collection and more services
In 2023 we introduced All Inclusive Redefined®, raising the bar for all-inclusive service. In 2024 we launched Zafiro Club and opened Son Sabater by Zafiro, an agrotourism hotel.
