Every detail has been reimagined around a fresh, contemporary vision. From the new suites with private pools to the dining areas, spa and sports facilities. Every element reflects a refined identity, one that leaves no room for doubt: now it really is a Zafiro hotel.

Mallorcan inspiration
The original building’s curved shapes have served as an inspiration for a seamless, organic and elegant visual narrative.
The arches visible from the windows have been subtly reinterpreted, becoming an integral feature of the bed headboards in each room, ensuring a natural continuity between exterior and interior. This thoughtful design enhances the hotel’s embracing, protective, serene and friendly atmosphere.
The redesigned spaces employ a warm, natural palette, featuring earth, terracotta, and sand tones, all deeply rooted in the Mallorcan aesthetic, blending harmoniously with textured materials such as linen and rattan.
Attention to detail has been central to the renovation. Curved metal-grid elements subtly divide spaces in the garden areas, while hydraulic-style ceramic tiles seamlessly integrate with surrounding vegetation and furnishings, adding texture, colour and a distinctive ambience.
“I wanted to introduce something that would add more freshness and lots of personality. I chose this type of tile because it has a connection with traditional style, but viewed from a more modern perspective”, is the way Marga Rotger, the Mallorcan interior designer in charge of the project, explains it. Marga has also been in charge of setting the tone for our Zafiro Boutique and Zafiro Palace Collections.
A homage to S’Albufera Nature Reserve
The suites at the Zafiro Alzinar Mar suites have been fully redesigned to offer an even more comfortable experience, rest, relaxation and privacy.
Highlights include their brightness and warmth, achieved through the use of materials and organic shapes inspired by the island in their new decoration, as the interior designer explains: “Wallpaper with plants and birds is a type of tribute to the S'Albufera Nature Reserve, located just a few kilometres from the hotel and which I have always seen as a very special place”.
A prime location in a quiet residential area very near Playa de Muro Beach and the S'Albufera Nature Reserve, the new Zafiro Alzinar Mar has everything for travellers aiming to combine nature, sport and relaxation.
Water, a vital element
At Zafiro Hotels, water is more than an element—it’s an essential part of the experience, deeply woven into our island’s identity. In this new chapter, most suites have been reimagined for enhanced privacy and exclusivity, featuring large terraces with direct access to private pools.
The main pool has also undergone a total renovation. Now more spacious, it offers different areas tailored to both active travellers and those seeking pure relaxation. A 7-lane semi-Olympic pool allows guests to enjoy outdoor sports under the Mediterranean sun, while the new chill-out area is an invitation to relax, with the Wet Bar as the standout feature, and one of the major changes in the renovation, allowing guests a chance to enjoy their favourite drink without having to leave the water.
More elegant restaurants
The hotel’s transformation extends to its culinary experiences, with thoughtfully designed dining options and a thorough renovation of its restaurants and bars.
- The buffet restaurant Es Mercat now features a fresh and elegant decoration, perfectly complementing its full breakfast and dinner service with show cooking.
- At midday, attention shifts to Sage & Olive, the à la carte restaurant located next to the large main pool.
A wellness oasis
The gym has been fully renovated and includes an outdoor area for functional training and exercises such as CrossFit.
The renovation has focused heavily on the areas designated for well-being experiences, from the gardens to the new spa, which has been designed for relaxation and taking care of both mind and body, featuring large open spaces, the chill-out pool and a carefully curated treatments menu.
The hotel also provides a professional cycling station equipped with everything cyclists might need, including a bike workshop, wash area and storage facilities. A 24-hour facility with security surveillance tailored to the needs of cyclists.
