Zafiro Hotels announces its first adults-only hotel in Mallorca
The four-star hotel in the Mallorcan resort of Can Picafort will be the first adults-only hotel for Zafiro.
The hotel will go on sale from January 2024 and will open in spring.
The Zafiro Group has purchased the four-star Alzinar Mar Suites Hotel in Can Picafort from the Mallorcan hotel chain EIX Hotels. This resort hotel focused on the sun and beach market will be open to guests aged over 16, thus becoming the first adults-only hotel for the company.
“We know that there is strong demand from travellers seeking adults-only hotels for their holidays in Mallorca, which is why we will be opening the Zafiro Alzinar Mar in April 2024”, stated Antoni Homar, Corporate Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer at Zafiro Hotels.
Zafiro Alzinar Mar, peace and rest for adults only
The Zafiro Alzinar Mar, previously known as the Alzinar Mar, is the company's sixth hotel in Alcudia Bay and provides a total of 128 rooms. “The hotel is located in a quiet part of Can Picafort, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach and in a natural environment that makes it ideal for people who want to rest and relax”, explained the CEO and owner of the group, Antonia Plomer.
The hotel is designed around a central terrace which is dominated by a large swimming pool with sunbeds and sunshades. There is also a heated pool and another outdoor pool, all set in large gardens that create a spectacular and green natural environment. The hotel will offer a restaurant serving superior-quality cuisine and two bars, one indoors and the other outdoors by the main pool, which will also serve drinks and snacks throughout the day.
Ideal accommodation for cyclists
The Zafiro Alzinar Mar Hotel is also an ideal choice for cycling holidays given the wide range of cycling routes in Mallorca and in the Alcudia Bay area in particular, near the best routes in the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains. The hotel offers bike rentals and also has a fully equipped Cycling Station for guests with a self-service workshop, bike wash area and large bike storage area.
14th hotel for the Zafiro Group
After the purchase of this hotel, Zafiro now has 14 hotels throughout Mallorca and Menorca. “The purchase of this hotel forms part of a strategic plan for growth through which we will continue to invest in our wonderful island and in its tourism and economic development”, added Plomer.

From January the hotel will be available for booking on the Zafiro Hotels website, with prices starting at 124 euros per room with breakfast included.
