The Zafiro Hotels team firmly believes that the best experiences are the ones enjoyed in our hotels, but they are also in the things we do for charity to help out and make a difference in our local community. We’ve been working with Sonrisa Médica for a number of years, supporting what they do to bring some joy and hope to kids in hospital in the Balearic Islands, and we’re extremely proud to lend a helping hand in their extremely valuable work.
Thanks to the support of our hotel teams and the generosity of our guests, this year we’ve raised €34,000 to help them continue helping kids to get through such difficult moments with a smile.
One of the most memorable moments about this partnership for us was when the “Sonrisa Médica” clowns visited our offices. Their contagious energy and fantastic sense of humour gave everyone a great laugh and reminded us how important the work they do every day is. Their spirit and sense of fun had an impact on all our team, making us even more determined to continue supporting such worthy causes.
The Zafiro Hotels team would like to congratulate them on their incredible journey and thank them most sincerely for all their hard work, their passion and the positive impact they have had on so many lives. May laughter continue to be the best medicine for many more years to come!
More support for local communities
But our solidarity does not stop there. Zafiro Hotels also proudly served as a main sponsor of #4IllesUnRepteSolidari, a remarkable challenge created to raise funds for patients with ALS and Alzheimer’s in the Balearic Islands.
Moreover, a delegation from Zafiro Hotels took part in the 10th Race Against Breast Cancer in Palma, held in October by the Spanish Association Against Cancer in the Balearic Islands. It was a truly special event, one that triumphed over adverse weather to highlight the resilience and unity of a society bound together by a common cause.
Together with our team, numerous hotel and tourism industry workers took part in the second On the Move Against Cancer Challenge, supported by the Mallorca Hotel Business Federation.
In the same spirit, we continue to support solidarity projects such as A Ribbon in Motion, dedicated to providing care and encouragement for cancer patients and their families.
Through the Hotel Industry Operation Kilo 2025, we collected five tons of food, destined for families and soup kitchens most in need—another meaningful step in our ongoing commitment to solidarity.
And, as every Christmas approaches, our thoughts turn especially to the little ones. For the fourth consecutive year, we proudly join The Tree of Dreams initiative, ensuring that vulnerable children receive the gifts they most long for this holiday season.

Corporate Social Responsibility at Zafiro Hotels is not just a “project”, it’s a framework of ethical and moral values that guide all of our activities. This is reflected not only in our long partnership with “Sonrisa Médica”, but also in so many other community support activities that we take part in whenever we have the opportunity. We firmly believe in giving back to society a part of what we receive, supporting causes that generate a positive and lasting impact.
