Hiking to the heart of Mallorca
Mallorca has many hiking trails which visitors can use to explore practically the whole island. Trails that run through the mountains and plains, along the coast and even through entire villages. One of our favourites is the so-called Path of the Archduke, named after one of the greatest admirers of the Valldemosa coastline, Archduke Luís Salvador of Austria.
The path takes about 3 hours to hike and is suitable for hikers of all levels. It begins and ends in the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains, more specifically in the pretty village of Valldemosa. It runs along a path lined with centuries-old olive trees and holm oaks before reaching a high point from which you can see one of the most authentic and incredible views of the Mallorcan coast: stunning cliffs, bewitching sunsets and the "Foradada" rock formation, along with the Mediterranean Sea in all its splendour.

Mallorca offers an infinite number of boat trips that you can take around the island. The hardest part is choosing only one! So if you don't have much time and you can only try one, we recommend the trip from Puerto de Alcudia to Formentor. We guarantee you it will be one of the best memories you take away from the island.
During the trip you will enjoy stunning views of the cliffs as well as hidden coves that are only accessible from the sea. Then you will reach the beach at Formentor, one of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca, with waters so crystal clear that they can easily be compared to the finest beaches in the Caribbean. Make the most of the chance to take a dip and shoot a video of the scenery with your mobile!
The wildest nature in the Natural Park
S'Albufera Natural Park is the most important wetland area in Mallorca. Apart from the huge and spectacular variety of both flora and fauna, it is a perfect place to lose yourself and take in all the fresh air while surrounded by the beauty and peacefulness that reign throughout the park.
The perfect place to spend an unforgettable day with kids discovering all the numerous guided trails either on foot or by bike. It is located next to Alcudia beach and Muro beach, near our Zafiro Palace Alcudia and Zafiro Tropic hotels, and just 1.5 km from the Zafiro Bahía hotel.
Trip to Sóller on the iconic wooden train
The loveliest way to get to this Majorcan village is by train. Wooden wagons, an elegant locomotive at the head of the train and, above all, a wonderful feeling that takes you back in time. A ride on this iconic railway is a fantastic experience in itself!
The trip begins in Palma and lasts about an hour. It crosses the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains, running through 13 tunnels and charming inland villages such as Buñola, and passing through beautiful orange groves before reaching Sóller. This village has a history full of significant commercial success trading with the south of France, and this is reflected in the style of its modernist houses, its wide avenues, the square with the imposing parish church of San Bartolomé and the Sóller Bank building designed in the purest Gaudí style.
Want to know a fun fact? The Sóller railway was inaugurated on April 16, 1912, the same day the Titanic sank. Oops!
