At Zafiro Hotels, we embrace each day with a commitment to responsible tourism, fostering sustainable practices that remain deeply connected to the soul of our islands.  

Son Sabater by Zafiro, our boutique agritourism hotel in Sa Pobla, stands as a shining example—championing the reduction of emissions, prioritising local sourcing (Km0), and honouring the island’s enduring traditions. 

On this historic Mallorcan estate, 1,500 native olive trees and 600 carob trees were planted in 2025, helping to mitigate the greenhouse effect. 

This season, the estate’s garden has also yielded more than 1,000 kilogrammes of fruit and vegetables, enriching the restaurant with fresh, seasonal and locally inspired cuisine. 

A constant focus on sport and a spirit of self-improvement 

From the very beginning, we have always embraced the values of passion, perseverance and self-improvement that define athletes. That is why we take pride in offering state-of-the-art facilities for both amateurs and professionals, while supporting competitions that establish Mallorca as a true benchmark for elite sport. 

Foremost among them is theZafiro IRONMAN 70.3 Alcúdia-Mallorca, one of the world’s most prestigious triathlon events, where we serve as main sponsors. With Zafiro Palace Alcudia and Zafiro Tropic as official accommodations, participants find everything they need each year to rest, recharge and perform at their best.  

We are proud to have contributed to an event that in 2025 brought together more than 3,800 athletes from 72 nations. 

Awards that make us extremely proud 

2025 has been a year of international recognition, honouring the dedication, passion and talent of a team driven by continuous excellence. Distinctions such as the Traveler's Choice Awards placed 12 of our hotels among the top 10% of hotels in the world—including the resorts of the Zafiro Palace Collection, our 4-star hotels, and Zafiro Alzinar Mar Adults Only, the newest addition to our portfolio. 

Equally remarkable, Son Sabater by Zafiro, part of the Zafiro Boutique Collection, was named one of the best boutique hotels in the world—and the only one in Spain—at the prestigious Star Awards 2025 by the US magazine Hotels Above Par. 

This unwavering philosophy of excellence also shone through in the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler Reader's Choice Awards, where the three hotels of the Zafiro Palace Collection and Son Sabater by Zafiro were celebrated among the finest resorts and hotels globally.

In 2025, the leadership of Zafiro Hotels has shone as brightly as our hotels. The Plomer sisters—owners, founders and CEOs—were recognised by Forbes magazine among the most influential women in the Balearic Islands.

Sharing our passion and know-how 

Our greatest treasure is our human team. From receptionists, administrative staff, chefs and kitchen assistants to entertainers, gardeners, and those who ensure every room is flawless—each one embodies the very essence of Zafiro Hotels. 

In 2025, we celebrated initiatives that showcased their commitment, passion and team spirit. Among them, the second edition of our cocktail competition on World Cocktail Day, where our colleague María Antonia Ramis Pérez, from the Zafiro Bahía team, claimed first prize with her original creation “Rosie Rock”. 

We also enjoyed the Zafiro Art Culinari event, a stage for our chefs and kitchen teams to share innovation and learning. Here, María Ávila Asensio (Zafiro Boutique Collection) earned first place, followed by Ismael El Amarti Alou (Zafiro Can Picafort) in second, and Marcos Temprano Parets (Zafiro Palace Andratx) in third—a celebration of talent across our family of hotels.
